Our
Exclusive "OUTDOOR WOMAN" Program is for
the person who wishes to try their hand at camp cooking and
all outdoor skills necessary to make one's stay more comfortable.
It takes planning. Mini seminars. Question and answer. Hands
on practice.
The Colorado Outdoor Woman program is held at our summer camp
where electricity and modern, comfortable cabin is available.
We furnish all equipment, you bring your sleeping bag and
personal items.

- Enjoy
the outdoors, while learning the following skills:
- Survival
techniques (most important); We want you to think and
be aware of what is around you!
- Build
a shelter

- Start
a fire
- Tie
knots
- Light
lanterns
- Sharpen
knives
- Saddle,
pack and ride a horse
- Camp
cooking
- Compass
and map reading
- Archery
- Fishing
(fly and spin)
- Identify
flora and fauna
- Gun
safety and receive a hunter's education certificate
- Basic
first aid
- Photograph
native wildlife (elk, deer, beaver, marmot, a large
variety of birds; including golden eagles, hummingbirds,
blue grouse, mourning doves, and more)
- We
emphasize environmental low impact camping.
- There
are No tests---Our program is self challenging only.
For 4
full days of instruction (6 days total, with arrival and departure
days), including all lodging and meals in beautiful "high
country", the cost is $1200 per person. Arrive the day
before your classes begin and leave the day after your classes
are completed. Air travel is available into Hayden, Colorado.
Programs are scheduled from June 15th through September 15th
every year (weather permitting). A 7 day program is also available.
Cost is $2000 per person. Reservations are made upon receipt
of a 50% deposit and signed contract. Balance due in advance
or upon arrival in cash or certified check.

A full
week (7 days) is suggested if you wish to receive your hunter's
safety card. The hunter's safety course takes 10 hours to
complete. Come prepared to have a great time. References
are available upon request.
